Debt Consolidation

Wisconsin residents have an alternative to bankruptcy.  This alternative provides a much faster, less expensive, and easier debt relief option.  Wisconsin Statute Section 128.21 was established in 1937.  It was modeled after certain provisions of the Federal Bankruptcy Act of 1898.  This often overlooked option must be considered as you evaluate your debt relief plans.  The statute forces certain creditors to accept monthly payments for a period of up to three years.  “Chapter 128″ as it is commonly called is more flexible than bankruptcy, for example, not all debt must be included.  However, all debt included in the plan must be repaid, there is no discharge.

Chapter 128 will deal with all types of debt including:

  1. Utilities Bills
  2. Late Rent
  3. Department Store Charges
  4. Collection Accounts
  5. Civil Fines
  6. Medical and Dental Bills

When we meet, we will evaluate if this is your best option.
